Who We Are

Shubhi Upadhyay

Shubhi is a rising junior who attends John P. Stevens High School in Edison, NJ.  She first started coding as an eager 7-year-old on a heavy HP laptop with the basic drag-and-drop Scratch program. From there, she progressed to HTML/CSS/Javascript and is constantly improving her skills. In sports, she played first doubles on the varsity girls tennis team with her twin sister Shriya Upadhyay and captured the county title and was a quarterfinalist in the state tournament. In academics, she has taken on the load of five honors classes and particularly enjoys the field of science. She hopes to work in computer science or business when she becomes older. She currently lives in Edison, NJ, where she has lived for her whole life.

Shriya Upadhyay

Shriya is a rising junior at John P. Stevens High School in Edison, New Jersey. She began coding shortly prior to attending a Coderdojo in NYC. After this visit to NYC, she became interested and helped create her own Coderdojo. She learned how to use drag-and-drop coding at around 8-years-old.

She later threw herself into Python coding with almost minimal knowledge in an effort to use coding to light up a singular LED light. She spends a lot of her time playing tennis and thinking of new projects to introduce at Coderdojo. She hopes to continue participating and creating projects in Coderdojo for as long as she can.
